The main function of presvet is to establish & then maintain pregnancy, by preparing the uterine endometrium for implantation & by preventing myometrial uterine contractions during pregnancy. Additionally, Progesterone strongly depresses the production of follicle stimulating hormone by the anterior pituitary gland and consequently the development of ovarian follicles. Progesterone injection is intended for systematic progesterone therapy of short duration.
